Bright Stars is located inside Thorntree Community Hub, in a residential area of east Middlesbrough. We operate from one spacious room with free flowing access to an enclosed garden. We’re on the ground floor so the nursery is wheelchair / pushchair accessible.
We hope you’ll enjoy having a look around! Remember, if there’s anything you want to know and you can’t find the answer here, you can get in touch with us using the form on the contact page.
Our learning environment
Here at Bright Stars we follow the Curiosity Approach. This means our children are encouraged to learn through exploration of authentic resources, with support from our very experienced early years practitioners. On a daily basis, children can be seen cutting vegetables, pouring drinks, and making their very own potions.
We are also a communication friendly setting which means we have a big focus on improving children’s communication and language outcomes. Our practitioners have completed Communication Counts training to ensure they are providing the best strategies to support children’s communication and language development.
Alongside the Curiosity Approach, our practitioners ensure children’s emotional wellbeing is at the core of our nursery. All children are helped to understand their feelings and behaviours. Practitioners involve children in a variety of activities such as hand massage and mindful relaxation to support their emotional wellbeing.
Our environment is very natural and calming to ensure children are not over-stimulated or distracted, so learning is at its best!
